This ironic piece invites the viewer to become a co-creator in the process of “healing” nature. At its center is a giant plantain leaf — a well-known symbol of restoration. Nearby are hundreds of cut-out figures of the artist, printed on colored paper, which viewers are encouraged to place onto the leaf, forming their own version of the work.
In this context, the human appears in a dual role: both as the cause of ecological “wounds” and as the one capable of aiding in their healing. The interactive element transforms the viewer from a passive observer into an active participant, prompting reflection on personal responsibility.
Each added figure is more than part of a composition — it is a symbol of awareness and action, underscoring the dual nature of human influence on the environment.
